What We’re Doing to Help Keep You Safe*

Our community is our family—and family takes care of each other.  So when we sat down to put new safety measures in place, we went beyond the guidelines.

See below for the details of our new plan, but keep in mind this is just a start.  We have a few more upgrades in the works, and as we learn more, we’ll be constantly fine-tuning and updating this page with the latest—so you can always check back here.

We’ve always been dedicated to the cleanliness of our studios and the health and safety of our community.  Now we’re taking it to an even higher level.

We continue to follow stringent sanitation protocols for proper disinfection, operation, and maintenance, as well as adding additional procedures to achieve a new level of cleanliness.

Enhanced Procedures & Deep Cleans
  • Continuous scheduled disinfection of high-touch surfaces throughout the gym.

  • Equipment use adjusted to eliminate intra-class sharing.

  • Heightened deep-cleaning procedures with top-grade disinfectant before and after every class, including the floors.

  • Team members will be trained on cleaning protocols.

  • UPDATE 6/13/20:  We ordered an Electostatic Sprayer for the gym.  This is different than the small sprayers we are now using for the floors.  It should be here within a few weeks.

Self-Cleaning Stations
  • Gym wipes that kill COVID-19, and on the EPA’s “List N” will be readily available throughout each room.

  • Hand Sanitizer will be readily available.

We are dedicated to the health and safety of our entire community, including our team members.  Team members will have their temperature checked prior to each shift, and will be required will complete a self-symptom assessment prior to each shift.

Quote from the State provided guidelines:

"Coaches and staff are required to wear a face mask or cloth face covering when unable to easily, continuously, and measurably keep 6 ft of physical distance from others, unless doing so would be contrary to his or her health or safety due to a medical condition."

We are taking careful actions to facilitate social distancing.  Look for extra signs and markers to guide you through each space and help us all practice social distancing.  We may implement necessary access limitations to allow for social distancing.

Equipment Spacing and Availability
  • Bikes and rowers will not be used, with few exceptions.

  • Only (1) person to a bag in Kick-Fit.

    • You must have your own boxing gloves; loaners will not be provided.

Group Fitness Class Sizes
  • Group fitness class sizes and schedules will be adjusted to be consistent with governmental orders and guidelines and to allow for thorough cleaning between classes.

  • There will be extra time between classes to allow for proper disinfecting, and to aid in social distancing practices.

  • Look for floor indicators, to help practice social distancing

  • We ask that parents do not bring their children to class until further notice.

  • All kid’s programs will remain suspended for the time being.  We do plan to resume these classes A.S.A.P.

Quote from the State provided guidelines:

“Customers are required to bring and wear masks or cloth face coverings that completely cover the nose and mouth unless doing so would be contrary to his or her health or safety..”

“Customers do not need to wear a mask while engaged in physical activity if 12 ft of distance can be maintained, but should as they enter and exit the facility and use the restrooms.”

What this means for you

The above guidelines apply to indoor exercise only.  When indoors, we will not be able to keep 12 ft of distance, so masks are required as stated above, "unless doing so would be contrary to his or her health or safety due to a medical condition."

This means is that if you become concerned that wearing a mask during exercise may increase the risk of incident due to a medical condition, then you may remove your mask during exercise, and then please keep as much distance as possible between you and those around you.

Always pay attention to how you feel while wearing a mask during exercise, and slow down or step outside if you feel you need to.

When You Arrive
  • Members may only enter the building 10 minutes before class starts.

  • Please enter in the rear door for BOTH studios.  To access the rear entrance of the Kick-Fit studio, please follow the sign on the right side of the building, and go up the stairs.

  • Upon entering S.I.N., you will be greeted with the SIN CARE Policy and asked to perform a personal assessment, which will include the following questions:

Do you have any of the following symptoms?

Shortness of breath

Has anyone in your family / household, or anyone you have encountered in the last 14 days, experienced the symptoms above or tested positive for COVID-19?

If you answer yes to any of the above questions, we appreciate if you refrain from participating in a class.  If you answer no, you are good-to-go!

  • After promptly changing your shoes in changing area, please bring ALL your belongings with you into the exercise area.

When You Leave
  • After class, you will be asked to exit out of the front door, you will not go back into the changing area.

  • For the time being, cubbies will no longer be used.

  • For the time being, we have suspended our free towel service.  Please bring your own towel if you need one.

  • Water from the filtered cooler will no longer be available.  Please bring your own full bottle of water.  If you forget your bottle, see your coach, she or he will be happy to provide you with a bottle of water at no charge - but please bring your own.
